Overview

Calling all sales professionals/ paralegals in fields such as IME, worker's comp/ no-fault, record retrieval, court reporting, liability defense, legal surveillance, or case management space!

ExamWorks is seeking a Director of Business Development role to join the team in our New Jersey territory. This position is remote with 60 - 80% on the road, daytime travel.

This person will identify opportunities, seek and engage new clients, develop new proposals and manage existing accounts. This position requires the individual to have consistent contact with clients; maintain awareness regarding industry standards and client expectations; utilize time efficiently and travel on an as needed basis. Working in conjunction with the President as well as with others to demonstrate and achieve superior customer service and market knowledge, and strives to meet and exceed company's revenue objectives.

Responsibilities

    Assists to drive the development of provincial and national sales with particular focus on the medical legal market
  • Maintains key customer relationships and develops and implements strategies for expanding the company's customer base
  • Acts as a liaison between clients and the company, actively promotes services, gathers and exchanges information
  • Represents the company at industry functions, conferences, tradeshows, seminars, meetings, and when necessary, organizes and conducts client entertainment
  • Informs clients of updates in regards to policy changes, services and physicians
  • Assists in resolving client concerns relative to service and report quality issues in a timely manner
  • Visits physicians as necessary and assists with physician recruiting efforts as required
  • Evaluates the results of overall sales efforts regularly and reports these results to the President
  • Continuously analyzes the market and competition and identifies external threats and opportunities; Adapts sales strategy to changing conditions
  • Provides weekly, monthly and or quarterly updates as directed
  • Attends all sales and marketing meetings as directed
  • Extended hours are often required beyond the regular eight (8) hour work day


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience selling services into the medical legal industry
  • Uses intuition and experience to effectively market the company's services
  • Ability to assist with development and delivery of compelling presentations
  • Demonstrates the ability to problem solve and develop alternative solutions when dealing with client issues or emotional topics
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality
  • Must be able to demonstrate team behavior and willing to promote a positive team -oriented environment with the ability to both convey and understand the philosophies of others
  • Must be able to divide work requirements between office/remote time and travel
