Hennepin Healthcare is hiring for our Addiction Medicine Clinic in downtown Minneapolis. This part-time role (0.5 FTE) can be filled at either the Clinical Associate or Medical Assistant level and will afternoons (12:30pm-5:00pm) Monday through Friday. This position is provided to the organization through a stipend from the DAWN network as part of the BAA (it has been in place since 2019 and is fully expected to see renewals). These benefit-eligible roles are union represented and primarily work day shift. Opportunities for tuition reimbursement and advancement. Hennepin Healthcare's AFSCME pay range(s): Offers are based on prior experience in the respective roles and/or relevant patient-facing roles (non-administrative). A sign-on bonus is available for eligible external MA candidates (current employees and former employees returning to HHS within one year are ineligible). The sign-on bonus amount is $1,500 for uncertified Medical Assistants and $3,000 for Medical Assistants certified/registered through the AAMA, AMT, or NHCA. SUMMARY Clinical Associate - Under the direction, delegation, and supervision of a Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP), Manager/ Clinic Nurse Supervisor, charge nurse, and/or their delegates, the Clinical Associate performs basic direct patient care tasks and clinic support functions. QUALIFICATIONS - Medical Assistant Minimum Qualifications: Diploma or Associate's Degree from an accredited Medical Assistant school (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools) that includes a clinical externship or a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces, as evidenced through educational transcripts Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EPIC and/or similar electronic health record Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: Ability to perform specialized clinical tasks and procedures in alignment with HHS standards License/Certifications: Credentialed or Registered through AAMA, AMT, or NHCA within thirteen (13) months of employment You've made the right choice in considering Hennepin Healthcare for your employment.
