Summary

IT Solutions Architect SAP S/4 MM (Manager Pay Grade) Individual Contributor

As the IT - SAP S4 MM or Procure to Pay (PTP), you will be responsible for leading and overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of SAP S/4 HANA modules of SAP MM. ERP transformation is a key business transformation initiative for Advantage Solutions which is building a reliable and scalable SAP backbone to support the business initiatives in the areas of Finance, Order Management and Procurement. You will lead the activities for this transformation focused on Procure to Pay processes, suppler management, sourcing, and materials management.

You will collaborate with various stakeholders, including senior executives, department heads, and IT teams, to ensure effective utilization of ERP solutions to enhance business operations, streamline processes, and drive organizational growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end functional solution ownership in SAP S/4 MM during the ongoing greenfield SAP S/4 MM implementation and subsequent rollout.
  • Assist IT support operations with problem management and continuous improvement.
  • Take overall IT solution design and architecture responsibility in the SAP MM area, focusing on scalability, sustainability, TCO, etc.
  • Drive continuous improvement in innovation delivery and support processes.
  • Build relationships with procurement stakeholders to drive the right SAP MM solutions that meet business results.
  • Collaborate with various cross-functional teams within Advantage's IT SAP CoE (SD, FI, PS Project Systems, Technical).
  • Own and drive the SAP solutions, working with the SAP S/4 system integrator and SAP support partner.
  • Although this is an individual contributor role, it involves working with other consultants to drive solutions and project deliverables.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Over 10 years of hands-on CONFIGURATION in SAP MM across multiple industries, serving as a team lead or solution architect in full cycle implementations in (ECC 6.0 and or S4)
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP Best Business Practices in the MM area.
  • Experience with SAP S/4 HANA MM implementation is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to identify and mitigate risks and issues promptly to meet project timelines.
  • Experience in Professional Services or CPG/Retail is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of IT governance, compliance, and risk management GRC frameworks.
  • Solid Working knowledge with SAP Datasphere for SAP S/4 MM reporting capabilities.

This role focuses on Core SAP MM area focusing PR, PO, GR/IR, AP, SAP IM, SAP VIM Opentext, SAP MDG Master data, reporting capabilities with SAP Datasphere etc.

NO SAP WM / eWM / Ariba experience needed for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy: Define and communicate a comprehensive IT product strategy that aligns with the organization's overall business strategy. Develop and maintain a product roadmap that outlines key initiatives and enhancements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, security, and business units, to ensure successful product development and delivery. Foster strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Market Research: Conduct research to identify industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in IT product management. Use market insights to inform product decisions and stay ahead of competitors.
  • Product Development: Lead the product development process, defining product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Work with engineering teams to prioritize and execute product enhancements.
  • Product Launch: Plan and execute product launches, including developing go-to-market strategies, pricing strategies, and marketing campaigns. Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure successful product introductions.
  • Product Metrics: Define and track key performance metrics for IT products, such as system uptime, reliability, performance, and user satisfaction. Use data-driven insights to drive product improvements.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges associated with IT product development and deployment.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Effectively communicate the IT product vision, strategy, and progress to internal and external stakeholders. Ensure alignment and buy-in from all relevant teams.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Level: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
Field of Study: Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent job-related experience. PMI Certification is desired but not required.
Experience Requirements: 5+ years of experience in project management of varied complexities and scope.
