General Information:

Hitachi Energy is a world leader in the area of Power Quality Solutions (PQS). Hitachi Energy was the first to introduce Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) technology to the power industry and has delivered solutions for the more than 50 years now. The FACTS technology uses a very high-end system for its control, protection and monitoring. This system is called as MACH. This computerized system is built with the state-of-the-art electronics, microprocessors and digital signal processors, connected by high performance industry standard busses and fiber optic communication links. They operate on very high standard application software developed by Hitachi Energy. As the system is being continuously evolved, the Station Operating and Monitoring System (SOM) is becoming more complex and customized. It requires a great deal of design, testing & verification of HMI, SCADA and network areas.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control the project schedule and budget
  • Project reviews
  • Design review meetings
  • Workload forecast in the projects
  • Customer Factory Acceptance Test
  • Change Management
  • Design and testing, Factory Verifications
  • Customer Factory Acceptance Test
  • Project Documentation, Customer meetings
  • You will focus on continuous improving GPQS Overall HMI.
  • You will be responsible for SCADA / HMI application development using Micro SCADA / Zenon SCADA software.
  • You will be responsible for design & develop a secured network overall architecture for SCADA / HMI system for PCS projects.
  • You will be preparing the Template / Faceplate/ Popup creations in Micro SCADA / Zenon SCADA.
  • Technical co-ordinations with sub suppliers and multiple stakeholders in different locations & discuss with other departments / stakeholders to prepare the Division of works.
  • You will be evaluating and strengthen the security of any connections to the DCS / SCADA / HMI network.
  • Involved in FAT / SAT activities with along with sub suppliers.
  • Technical support at site during commissioning phase of the project
  • IT infrastructure hands on experience on Routers, Firewalls, Switches, Servers, and workstations with basic networking skills.

Qualification & Experience:

  • M.Sc./Bachelor's or Master's degree in ECE / EEE/ Communication/ Computer Science/ Power Systems / Power Electronics
  • You should have minimum 3 years of working experience from the substation automation projects.
  • You should have knowledge in Micro SCADA, Zenon (Copa Data), MS Visio.
  • SCADA / HMI certifications, Networking certifications, CCNA, CCNP, Cyber Security knowledge is an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of process Automation / Power grid Automation
  • You are an engaged person who thrives in a constantly changing environment and enjoys collaboration with employees, peers and beyond.
  • Self-starter caliber who could own tasks through to completion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality digital solutions.
  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.

Specific Knowledge & Skillsets:

  • Experience in designing HMI for industrial applications using InTouch or equivalent software.
  • Good working knowledge on HMI animation concepts and logics
  • Good knowledge on communication protocols for SCADA/network
  • Some knowledge in cybersecurity
  • Prior experience in SAS most preferred
  • Experience in Process and ISO audits
  • Knowledge in project management concepts
