Benefits:

Salary:

$150,500 - $191,500 + 35% Bonus target

Summary

Directs and coordinates sales activities of Simplimatic aiding the VP of Global Automation in planning and directing the sales activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate managers.

Essential Functions

  • Participates in formulating and administering company policies and developing long range goals for the Business.
  • Confers with VP of Global Automation and other platform leadership as necessary to review achievements and discuss required changes in goals or objectives resulting from current status and conditions.
  • Reviews and analyses of sales activities, costs, and forecast data to determine Simplimatic's progress toward stated goals and objectives.
  • Researches, analyzes, and monitors financial, technological, and competitive factors to capitalize on market opportunities and maximize competitive advantage.
  • Develops and recommends product positioning, packaging, and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.
  • Conducts marketing surveys on current and new product concepts and provides feedback for future product development.
  • Works with corporate marketing to help develop and executes comprehensive marketing plans and programs, both short and long range, to support sales and revenue objectives of organization.
  • Oversees development and maintenance of customer database and proposal tracking.
  • Establishes and maintains relationships with industry influencers and key community and strategic partners.
  • Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information business directories, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, and other sources.
  • Evaluates and recommends distribution channel development programs.
  • Travels through various sales territories to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers by phone.
  • Displays or demonstrates product, using promotional material to emphasize salable features.
  • Attends trade shows.
  • Directs and coordinates activities of Simplimatic for which responsibility is delegated to further attainment of goals and objectives.
  • Resolves conflicts within business to ensure objective fulfillment and swift response to sales opportunities.
  • Negotiates quote prices and credit terms and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Review account manager expenses and ensure expense rules are followed.
  • Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with purchasing contacts.
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems to maintain good relationships.
  • Manage a team of 4 Regional Sales Managers

Position Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university highly preferred; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:

  • Must have sales experience with integration/turnkey automated solutions, robotic sales
  • Road warrior; must be able to travel across North America; travel will be primarily in the US but some travel in Canada and Mexico
  • B2B Travel experience
