Position: Human Resources Manager

Location: San Francisco, CA (Onsite) - May consider candidates remote in California
Reports to: President
Position Summary:
The Human Resources Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth and success by overseeing all aspects of human resources operations. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
* Talent Acquisition:
o Develop and execute effective recruitment strategies to attract and hire top talent across various roles.
o Manage the entire hiring process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, and onboarding.
* Performance Management:
o Establish and implement performance appraisal systems to evaluate employee performance and identify development opportunities.
o Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to employees to support their professional growth.
* Compensation and Benefits:
o Develop and administer competitive compensation and benefits packages that comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
o Manage payroll processing through ADP.
* Employee Relations:
o Foster a positive and inclusive work environment by addressing employee concerns, resolving disputes, and promoting employee engagement.
o Manage employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, terminations, and investigations.
* HR Compliance:
o Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to FMLA, ADA, and workers' compensation.
o Maintain accurate employee records and documentation.
* Organizational Development:
o Develop and implement HR initiatives to support the company's growth and development, such as employee training programs, succession planning, and organizational restructuring.
* Global HR Collaboration:
o Collaborate with the Japan headquarters and legal counsel to implement and participate in global HR systems and initiatives.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
* 15+ years of experience in HR operations and management, preferably in a company with 10-100 employees.
* Strong experience in hiring, performance appraisal, compensation, and exit processes.
* Experience working in a diverse work environment and with a foreign-owned entity is a plus.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in HR software and systems.
* Strong aptitude for leadership and the ability to build and develop a high-performing HR team.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience in the IT/marketing/consulting industry.
* Experience managing HR operations in multiple states.
* Knowledge of organizational development, legal compliance, and global HR practices.
The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
