The Hauling Process Lead will manage Rumpke's relationship with software vendor Routesmart and work as an intermediary between Route Smart and the Rumpke team to achieve operational goals. This position will also work with cross functional teams throughout the Rumpke business to develop and implement efficient and consistent processes throughout Rumpke's hauling operation.

Responsibilities of Position:



  • Manages and maintains company's relationship with Route Smart including development of new functions and support to field users.
  • Participates and collaborates with cross-functional leadership to develop and deliver effective training, communication, and documentation for operational effectiveness
  • Create a feedback rich environment by coaching and emphasizing teamwork within the organization
  • Assist in developing software solutions, as well as new tools, to better serve our internal customers and assist them in meeting their goals
  • Maintain a positive and professional work environment by behaving and communicating in a manner that promotes good relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management
  • Complete tasks in a safe manner in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies
  • Plans, organizes, coordinates, and controls projects in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements
  • Champions and manages change by demonstrating support for the innovation needed to improve Rumpke's effectiveness
  • Develops and reviews training plans for new application releases or changes
  • Reviews, evaluates, and develops recommendations for enhancements and support of applications
  • Works with Business Analyst to develop testing scenarios and testing plans for applications
  • Drives adoption and buy-in with continuous focus on customer and user experience
  • Participates in special projects.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:



  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced usage in Microsoft Excel.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and meet company qualifications under the non-commercial driver's policy.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize own tasks, tasks of others with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills with the ability to organize and deliver presentations in front of groups.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues, make decisions, and resolve problems.
  • Highly motivated individual who possesses professional demeanor and is comfortable in a variety of business environments.
  • Must be able to react well under pressure, treat others with respect and exhibit patience with other associates
  • Passion for customer service, efficiency, effectiveness, precision, and quality
  • Good team player with the willingness to assist others, share expertise and train team and business employees.
  • Build and nurture positive working relationships with the team, internal clients, and vendors.



Physical Requirements in a Regular workday:



  • Rarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 10lbs.
  • Frequently sitting in office environment.



Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:



  • Exposure to residential and commercial waste.
  • Ability to travel between offices, as required.
  • Ability to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
  • Must be available for 24-hour emergency calls.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable).
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language.

Qualifications
Education
High School (preferred)
Bachelors of Relevant field (preferred)
Experience
5 years: Experience in the waste management industry preferred. (preferred)
Experience in the operation and/or the ability to learn RouteSmart software. (required)
