As a Business Analyst Intern at StandardAero, you will gain hands-on industry experience, learn from experts, and collaborate with our teams that raise the standard of excellence. We are seeking a Business Analyst Intern to support our Van Nuys, CA site remotely alongside the site controller with financial and operational reporting and process documentation improvements, to facilitate successful financial control processes and ensure continuity of operations.

This is a 10-12-week, paid internship and part-time basis.

What you'll do:

- Build and validate dashboards and reports for financial and operational metrics, including drill downs by product line

- Work closely with business process owners and teams in mapping out current processes and future state to identify opportunities for improvement in system or methods

- Assist with data collection and other various reports and summaries as needed

- Perform other related duties as required

Requirements:

- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

- Must have High School Diploma or GED

- Candidates should be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in mathematics, data science, finance, business, or related field, and be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university or with equivalent background with an expected graduation date in 2026

- Knowledge of basic accounting principles

- Familiarity with basic accounting software or accounting spreadsheets

- Skilled in the use of MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)

- Demonstrated ability to clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in written format

- Strong planning and organizational skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and a focus on delivery

- Self-directed, results-oriented, and flexible

- Works well under pressure and adheres to tight deadlines

Preferred Characteristics:

- Proficiency in Microsoft applications, primarily Excel and Power BI

- Familiarity with Oracle systems

- Familiarity with data analytics and business intelligence programs

- Familiarity with database management tools and writing queries (SQL tables, VBA, Excel Macros, Python, etc.)
