Advantage Technical is seeking a QC Technician for our client onsite in Watertown, WI. This is a great opportunity for growth with a growing & reputable company who strive to foster a diverse and inclusive work environment!

Employment Type: Direct hire

Pay Rate: Up to $26/hr. full time

Location/Shift Hours: 316 Hart St Watertown, WI 53094-6616 4:30am to 3pm Mon-Thu with the potential for OT on Friday's.

Minimum Experience required: 1-2 years of experience in a Quality Control environment preferred. Education may be substituted for experience.

Minimum Education Required: Four-Year Degree in Chemistry or related field preferred. Experience may be substituted for education.

Relationships:

Reporting to the QEHS Manager, this position works closely with other Lab

Personnel (Quality and R&D) as well as Production Supervisor, Production Personnel, and

Regulatory Compliance. Has the ability to work with others in a team environment, the ability to accept direction from supervisors, the ability to follow work rules and is willing to accept constructive criticism.


Job Role
: This position is responsible for providing technical support regarding the chemistry of products, adherence to quality specifications, regulatory and environmental compliance. This position performs chemical testing of batches, line samples, and raw materials along with providing batch and line sample adjustments as necessary. This position tabulates and analyzes data on the results of the chemical testing. The person must actively participate in our Quality, Health and Safety program including training initiatives and adherence to all policies and procedures. Inclusive in the purpose is the adherence to the department's as well as the individual's personal commitment to customer satisfaction.


Primary Position Responsibilities
:

* Employ safe work habits and complies with all applicable Solenis safety requirements

* Works closely with Corporate Quality Assurance, Plant Management, Production Teams, and QA personnel at other sites

* Ensure products are produced according to the Bill of Material (BOM)

* Timely testing, evaluating and recording test results for raw materials, production batches, and finished products

* After the finished product has been approved, the produced resource is added and consumed resources are deducted from inventory.

* Calculate and provide adjustments to products as required

* Calibrate, operate, and maintain laboratory equipment

* Conduct Quarterly Finished Goods Audits

* Conduct internal audits and summarize results for management review for compliance to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001

* Utilize SPC methods in data collection, Root Cause Analysis, Corrective/Preventive Action effectiveness, and Cost Saving/Avoidance Analysis

* Support the compliance and maintenance of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 systems

* Communicate with R&D and Regulatory for process improvements as well as adjustments which are out of compliance for both mixing and packaging

* Prepare customer Certificates of Analysis as needed.

* Review and file raw material Certificates of Analysis.

* Review laboratory work instructions.

* Prepare lab batch samples for the purpose of evaluating new raw materials, mixing

procedures, plant problems, etc.

* Maintaining and ordering laboratory supplies.

applicable to the assigned area, products, materials to be tested. Ability to operate and maintain laboratory equipment. Effective use of technology to accomplish objectives (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, internet, SAP, Business Objects etc.). Good financial acumen.


Physical Requirements: Stand for periods of up to 4 hours at a time. Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds occasionally.
