Overview and Responsibilities

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated District Manager Transvill Service Center. Responsible for supervising the Transfill Service Center Supervisors, monitoring plant productivity, efficiency and expense, and ensuring compliance with FDA/DOT regulations; directs the daily operations of the Transfill plants and repair centers within an assigned geographic region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Travel extensively via airplane and/or vehicle
  • Ensure assigned plants comply with FDA/DOT regulations and company policies and procedures
  • Ensure project deadlines and performance standards are met
  • Evaluate performance, productivity and general management practices of Service Center Supervisors
  • Hire staff and ensure proper training is in place
  • Monitor staffing levels, payroll and related expenses
  • Perform frequent plant visits on a regular basis to monitor efficiency, productivity and performance and adjust strategies if necessary
  • Perform regular administrative tasks including audits, developing action plans and other business management activities
  • Provide a safe working environment for all employees in compliance with all federal, state and local laws and ordinances including but not limited to FDA, DOT, and OSHA
  • Review and analyze reports reflecting plant department performance
  • Work directly with the Director, Transfill and Repair to implement procedures, programs and tools to improve plant efficiency and performance
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Employment is contingent on

  • Background investigation (company-wide)
  • Drug screen (when applicable for the position)
  • Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field from an accredited college or university
  • Directly related experience in cryogenics, HME, Medical Gases Manufacturing or Home Health Industry
  • Experience of Current Good Manufacturing Processes (cGMP)
  • Four years directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written, with vendors, employees and management to ensure questions and concerns are processed in a timely manner
  • Interprets a variety of instructions in a variety of communication mediums
  • Knowledge of Durable Medical Equipment (DME) or Home Medical Equipment (HME)
  • Maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
  • Mapping skills including ability to plan time-saving delivery routes
  • Mechanical aptitude with ability to learn
  • Multi-task along with attention to detail
  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
  • Work independently and as part of a team

Physical Demands

  • Lift and carry up to 100 pounds
  • Travel extensively via airplane and/or vehicle
  • Utilize computer for extended hours
  • Regularly review documents with small print
  • Ability to perform all aspects of Transfill functions, including but not limited to operating commercial vehicles, and filling high-pressure and liquid cylinders
  • Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking or listening
  • Requires close vision to small print on computer and or paperwork

  • Email transmission and communication
  • Type on a computer and or a tablet
  • Internet navigation and research
  • Microsoft applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
