Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Charleston, SC. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • This position has power and control over the programs within the parameters of its duties, including, but not limited to, decisions impacting Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, and People.
  • Assures all delivered clients flow through the airframer system to meet airframer aircraft delivery schedules.
  • Ensures compliance with FAA regulations and quality standards at the airframer facility.
  • Responsible for the FOD program at the airframer for the On-Site Support team, including monitoring and controlling the technicians' controlled tools.
  • Manages the replacement order process for defective or airframer-damaged components.
  • Maintains visibility of all client-delivered products to ensure product quality, customer requirements, and cost.
  • Develop and monitor quality programs to minimize repetitive mistakes and rework.
  • Maximizes manpower, equipment, and facility utilization.
  • Review overhead costs, product quality, and inventory to ensure the customer service center is operating within established budgets.
  • Manages up to 20 employees at the airframer in addition to additional support requests from 3rd party subcontractors.
  • Responsible for continuously improving the skills and competence of the technicians to ensure the team is up to date with all upcoming technologies and systems.
  • Responsible for the overall monitoring, allocation of resources, and activities to ensure Head of Version programs are assessed for risk with mitigation plans in place for each identified risk area prior to delivery to the airframer site.
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Maintains an effective safety program to prevent injuries and lost time.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in aircraft industry.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a supervisor/manager.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in commercial aircraft seating products, involving but not limited to repair systems, operations, methods, procedures, and related FAA requirements.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in effectively interacting with the customer.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a standard suite of office software products (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Excellent fluency and negotiation skills and very comfortable in adversarial business and customer environments.
  • Ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment.
  • Ability to read and review written communication.
  • Speech and hearing abilities that allow individuals to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.
  • Good Administrative and organizational skills.
  • Effective interpersonal and team building skills to work with specific needs and requirements of airframer.
  • Comfortable managing multiple demands from internal and external customers simultaneously and driving efficient solutions
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written), following up on requests and managing escalation and de-escalation with a high level of reactivity
  • Able to define burndown/ recovery plans and articulate those plans as needed to high levels of leadership internally and externally with high precision.
  • PowerBI knowledge.
  • Leading or contributing to Continuous Improvement projects.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • This position needs extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors and other office equipment.
  • Finger dexterity needed in using misc. Office equipment such as telephone, computer, and copy machine.
  • Bending, stooping, reaching, and lifting to approximately twenty pounds are needed during tasks.
  • The work environment includes an office setting with moderate office noise.
