Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work on-site with our client in Cheektowaga, NY. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Liaison for gathering information for submitting loans for Closing Disclosure (CD) Issuance.
  • Collaborate with applicable parties to meet target close date through time management of tasks and pipeline reporting.
  • Ensure the accuracy of data submitted for CD Issuance, including homeowners' information, taxes, fees, payoffs, and applicable invoices for third-party fees.
  • Assign pipeline reporting to title reviewers, review pipeline reports, and manage title review box.
  • Maintain effective communication with all necessary parties involved in closing a transaction, including the customer, broker, correspondent, settlement agent, loan officer, post-closing, loan delivery, mortgage servicing, mortgage accounting, funding, and co-workers, to ensure a seamless closing experience.
  • Work with various internal departments and external organizations to obtain closing-related documentation or the necessary information to complete a closing (payoffs, subordinations, releases, tax, title, homeowners/flood information).
  • Perform a thorough and accurate review of the file to ensure the loan is in compliance with State and Federal guidelines and obtain verbal verification of employment on all income-qualified borrowers.
  • This also includes but is not limited to reviewing homeowners, flood, title, and tax-related documents.
  • Follow up on rate lock expirations and document expirations.
  • Review system of record information to ensure CD can be prepared and that all documentation submitted for CD Issuance is complete and accurate.
  • Proactively contact the Settlement Agents throughout the collaboration process to obtain all necessary information, such as fees and contact information, for CD purposes.
  • Evaluate close dates throughout the process to ensure it is on target to meet those dates and that proper communication is being done to applicable parties if the close date has to be changed.
  • Adhere to applicable compliance/operational risk controls by Company or regulatory standards and policies.
  • Maintain client's internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the client's brand.
  • Work closely with Internal and External Customers such as co-workers, borrower(s), and Settlement Agents.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $28.11/hr.

Hours: 40 hours/week.

Length: Temp (12 Months).

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in business and customer service.
  • Minimum of 3 years of PC experience with spreadsheet, word processing, and email software.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree.
  • Prior Mortgage experience in Mortgage Closing, whether at a Lender, Title Company, or Settlement Agent's office.
  • Ability to make sound decisions based on information provided.
  • Versatility and flexibility working within an ever-changing, fast, fast-paced mortgage environment.
  • Ability to adapt to new policies and procedures to improve processes and workflow.
  • Ability to function within time constraints.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail with good organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize daily workload.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Good work ethic, reliable.
  • Solid knowledge of Department software.
  • Knowledge of Product, Investor, and Compliance Requirements.
