RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repairing industrial equipment, fixing safety concerns and maintaining the facility
  • Daily accuracy and productivity work is necessary for inventory control and accountability
  • Intermediate-level knowledge and ability to perform machine maintenance/mechanics, basic understanding of hydraulics, blue print reading, welding and fabrication and operation of machine tools to repair machine components is required
  • Demonstrates ability to install new equipment and work with high pressure steam, air, water and gas lines.
  • Demonstrates ability to install of electrical/electronic controls and components, piping and tubing.
  • Tracks time, materials and keep accurate records of work performed. Communicates information to co-workers in a clear and concise manner.
  • Attendance is an essential function of this position. The employee must have regular, reliable, punctual and consistent attendance. The employee must be able to work regular and/or flexible hours or shifts, overtime before and after regular hours and shifts, as well as on weekends.
  • Position works rotating nightshift, 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • GED or High School Diploma required;
  • 2-years technical degree preferred or 5 years of experience preferred
  • Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Communication skills; verbal, written listening and understanding
  • Experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical troubleshooting, basic Programmable Logic Controller programming and troubleshooting, schematics reading, hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, and installation
  • High level of mechanical aptitude
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong team player; proactively able to step in to support other team members as needed and share knowledge to allow cross training of all functions, builds collaborative relationships.
  • Must be a self-starter requiring minimal supervision
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Individuals may be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures in an indoor and outdoor work environment. Depending on work area, personal protective equipment will be required including hearing protection, steel toed shoes and safety glasses.
