If so, we are seeking a dedicated and professional housekeeper with integrity and attention to detail to join our growing Housekeeping Group.

We are seeking a Carpet Cleaning Technician (Night Shift) to help us provide a clean and safe work environment for APL. You'll be joining a hardworking team of housekeepers who collaborate with our partners and provide an outstanding cleaning service with attention to details. We strive to foster an environment of inclusion and partnership. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the overall success of the team and APL.

As a Carpet Cleaning Technician you will...

  • Perform carpet cleaning and floor care tasks in a commercial setting
  • Use appropriate truck mount equipment and cleaning solutions to effectively clean carpets
  • Follow established procedures and safety guidelines for carpet cleaning and floor care
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness and identify any carpet maintenance or repair needs
  • Respond to partner requests and concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment
  • You will maintain all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products; ensure safe and sanitary storage of products
  • You will need to adhere to health and safety policies and lab's related practices

Qualifications

You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...

  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent training and experience.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years carpet cleaning experience; additional training will be provided.
  • Are physically able to push a vacuum cleaner for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 25 to 30 pounds.
  • Are able to reach, stretch, bend, and walk during daily routine, with the ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Are organized and able to build an independent cleaning schedule.
  • Are able to follow verbal and written directions in English.
  • Have customer service experience.
  • Have reliable transportation
  • Ability to work Night Shift (8:00 PM - 4:30 AM) Sunday through Thursday and/or a flexible schedule

You'll go above and beyond our minimum requirements if you ...

Have minimum 2 years experience on motorized cleaning equipment such as ride-on scrubbers, sweepers, vacuum or extractor.

The referenced pay range is based on JHU APL's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level with consideration for internal parity. For salaried employees scheduled to work less than 40 hours per week, annual salary will be prorated based on the number of hours worked. APL may offer bonuses or other forms of compensation per internal policy and/or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be provided in the form of a sign-on bonus, relocation benefits, locality allowance or discretionary payments for exceptional performance. APL provides eligible staff with a comprehensive benefits package including retirement plans, paid time off, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, education assistance, and training and development.
