Job Summary

Responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of surveillance activities and for the support of prevention and control initiatives for division and system-level goals. Responsible for ensuring state, federal (i.e. Centers for Disease Control), regulatory and accreditation standards are met, and for infection prevention and control activities and programs, to include required communicable disease reporting. Provide leadership and expertise specific to surveillance and reporting activities.

Individuals who hold a license or certification are required to hold and maintain that credential. Expert knowledge of infection preferred. Local travel preferred. Prevention & control experience preferred. Project management experience preferred.

Bachelor's degree preferred from an accredited university or college with emphasis in Nursing, clinical quality improvement, microbiology, epidemiology or related field. Must possess expert knowledge of infection surveillance, prevention, and control standards and initiatives, as well as performance/process improvement concepts. Certification in Infection Control and Epidemiology (i.e., Certification in Infection Control, or CIC, preferred). Required within one year of eligibility

Qualifications:

BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree (Required) Certified in Infection Control (CIC) - Certification - Other/National Healthcare, Infection Prevention & Control
