Pay Rate: $38.50 - $43.25/hr (Depending on Experience)

Schedule: 1st Shift (Monday - Friday)

Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:



  • Utilize Solid Edge and AutoCAD software to create detailed mechanical drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Develop layout concepts and designs for custom equipment, including conveyors, ovens, fryers, and material handling systems, specifically for the tortilla food industry.
  • Perform basic engineering calculations and hardware sizing for components such as motors, gearboxes, and cylinders.
  • Complete compliance checklists to ensure equipment meets industry standards and specifications.
  • Write technical manuals for new equipment designs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Production Planning, Manufacturing, Customer Service, and Purchasing, by preparing and submitting mechanical drawings and BOMs.


Qualifications: At least 5 years of related experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the food or manufacturing industry.
