Position: Japanese Bilingual Sales Representative
Location: Torrance, CA (Hybrid Remote)
FSLA Status: Non-Exempt, Full-Time, Direct Hire
OVERVIEW:
A growing global automotive parts distributor is seeking an experienced Japanese Bilingual Sales Representative in Torrance, CA. This role is primarily desk-based, with about 90% of responsibilities expected to be completed from the office or home office, focusing on driving revenue growth and building strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will manage order processing, respond to customer inquiries, and work closely with the sales team to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong deskwork skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Travel is minimal, with less than 10% expected, as most meetings are conducted virtually. Qualified candidates should be fluent in Japanese and possess creativity, a positive attitude, and a competitive drive to excel in B2B sales.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO:
Promote OEM products to drive sales revenue with both new and existing clients.
Build and maintain strong business relationships through phone calls, emails, and in-person visits.
Develop and create compelling product brochures to showcase product features and services.
Conduct effective sales presentations and discussions with clients in the U.S. and Mexico, delivering impactful proposals.
Provide quotes, negotiate pricing, and coordinate shipping schedules by liaising with internal departments and external vendors.
Maintain accurate records of customer orders and information in the company's database.
Research market trends, pricing, and competitor information to develop effective sales strategies.
Collaborate with the international headquarters and other departments to stay informed about product and company operations.
Attend trade shows and events to expand the company's network and drive growth.
Perform additional duties as needed to support the sales team and contribute to overall company goals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Language Skills: Japanese bilingual proficiency required (business-level reading and writing).
Experience: Previous experience in sales, sales support, or customer service within a B2B setting.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated and results-driven.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to drive a personal vehicle to visit clients.
