General Description

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible to work with the Logistics Department team members to ensure the dependable delivery of Tubelite products to and from customers and vendors.

Principal Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate and facilitate outbound shipments to ensure dependable, timely delivery.
  • Determine sequence of routes and number of trucks for efficient delivery
  • Communicate with customers regarding timing of expected shipments.
  • Investigate and problem solve customer issues for incorrect, incomplete, or late shipments.
  • Problem solves issues that require additional or alternate routes.
  • Create and process shipping paperwork for the day's shipments.
  • Run acknowledgements, attach signed BOLs to pick sheets & file all shipping paperwork.
  • Confirm shipments daily for accurate on time reporting.
  • Confirm outbound shipments from Linetec and outside fabricators & vendors.
  • Assist Sales, CS and Accounting Services team members with freight questions and issues.
  • Coordinate with RC team members regarding shipments from RC
  • Coordinate and facilitate special shipments.
  • Run and distribute required reports.
  • Train and coach other Logistics Department team members
  • Ensure month end tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Perform daily cycle counts with precision to ensure inventory accuracy within the facility.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify cycle count variances.
  • Resolve negative inventory reporting issues and analyze stock loss to prevent future occurrences.
  • Contribute to annual cycle counts and internal quality defect management.
  • Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; Associate degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years logistics department experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem solving, teamwork and communication skills.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
  • At least one year of experience in a supply chain related role, such as inventory or scheduling.
  • Competence in ERP systems, with a preference for JDE experience and understanding.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional team.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule to accommodate fluctuating workload.
