This position is in Coppell, TX
Shift: Weekend: Friday, Saturday & Sunday 8am-5pm & Monday 8am-12pm.

General Summary
  • The Shift Manager will direct the operational aspects of shift operation in a high-volume order fulfillment distribution center. You will need to ensure the site priorities of safety, quality, and efficiency are followed towards meeting all customer SLA performance targets.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages at least 2 full time direct reports. Management responsibilities include, but are not limited to hiring, coaching, skills development, recognition and rewards, staff productivity and performance management to include disciplinary actions up to and including termination.
  • Reviewing and assuring the accuracy of required production and inventory reports.
  • Prioritizes all shift activities to ensure 100% on-time delivery of customer shipments on shift by shipping deadline each night.
  • Coordinate and direct shift supervisors in receiving, replenishment, picking, and shipping as necessary to achieve end-of-night performance objectives for our customer.
  • Ensure coordination and communication on key customer escalations are completed in a timely basis
  • Coordinate Quality escalations to the respective discipline manager.
  • Coordinating and conforming to the operational aspects of the Company's Core Excellence Program and audit regularly to ensure full compliance.
  • Planning, monitoring, and managing actual performance against operational portions of the budget; this includes, but is not limited to, proper management of departmental staffing levels, overtime and overall operational headcount
  • Knowing and evaluating activities to ensure inventory accuracy goals are met.
  • Routinely complete audits of operational transactions for inventory accuracy.
  • Providing assistance to the Operations and/or General Manager on special projects as required.

Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Industrial Engineering or other related operations discipline is preferred. Alternatively, military rank at E-6-7/or O-2-O3.
  • A minimum of three years of supervisory experience, preferably in a logistics environment responsible for WMS, QDM, LMS, P&L and talent management.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities with ability to lead other leaders.
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
  • Experience with Six Sigma or quality management methodologies and/or Green Belt certification preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Previous team building experience preferred.
  • Previous budget planning and P/L exposure a plus.
  • Experience in reverse logistics preferred.
