Clariant is currently looking for a Granular Area Operator to support the Adsorbents and Additives business unit in Quincy, FL. This role is responsible for safely operating and managing the 1A complex mills, screens, and associated equipment to maximize the production of RVM (Regular Volatile Matter) and LVM (Low Volatile Matter) grade materials. This role involves monitoring and adjusting process controls to meet quality specifications, tonnage targets, and operational standards. The Granular Area Operator will work with HMI systems, make field adjustments to equipment, and conduct in-process testing to ensure high product quality and system efficiency. This is a full time, onsite opportunity involves rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed to meet production goals. Responsibilities

* Operate all 1A complex mills, screens, and related equipment to meet production targets and quality specifications

* Control the mill system using Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems and make necessary field adjustments to conveyance systems and tanks to optimize product quality

* Route raw feed from prior processing steps through the mill complex, and direct milled product to subsequent processing steps

* Manage finished product flow from storage bins to further processing and packaging stations, ensuring smooth and efficient movement of materials

* Learn and perform mill gapping, replace hummer screens, and adjust equipment to maintain operational efficiency within the 1A mill complex

* Run in-process testing such as mesh size testing to maintain process control and ensure product meets required specifications

* Adjust dust collection systems and pick-up points to maximize material recovery and control particle size distribution, enhancing product yield and quality

* Collect samples from all relevant processing equipment and conduct assessments to determine necessary adjustments in the primary circuit, regrind circuit, and pass-through equipment

* Analyze sample results and make adjustments to improve particle size distribution and ensure product consistency

Requirements

* Highschool Diploma or equivalent, will consider relevant prior work experience in lieu of education

* Prior experience with machinery operation and basic maintenance is highly preferred

* Experience in manufacturing or industrial processes preferred

* Experience with motorized industrial equipment preferred

* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed for maintenance tasks

* Comfortable working in various physical conditions including high or elevated areas

* Ability to work rotating shifts based variable sales throughout the year
