Click here to chat with a Recruiter on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 2-3pm Status: Full Time(40/hrs weekly) Shift: Rotating (8.5 hr shift) Hours: Days, 7a-7p Weekend: Every 4th/5th weekend Rotation Location: Independence Pkwy Chesapeake, 23320 Required qualifications: Virginia Pharmacy Technician license CPhT license through PTCB or NHA Preferred qualifications: 1 year Pharmacy Technician experience preferred IV room and Sterile Compounding experience preferred Job responsibilities: Prepares medications under the direction of a pharmacist Measure, mix, count out, label, record amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders Responsible for managing the drug distribution system and providing technical support in all aspects of the delivery of safe, effective, patient focused and cost efficient drug therapy Responsible for maintaining compliance under regulation guidelines Performs tasks that require higher level of competency, such as performing pharmaceutical calculations and operating automated compounding devices About Sentara Sentara is a Virginia and Northeastern North Carolina based not-for-profit integrated healthcare provider that has been in business for over 131 years.
