Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Operator 2 to join our team in Houston, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials efficiently and accurately.

  • Set up, operate, and monitor printing presses to ensure optimal performance and quality output
  • Interpret work orders and specifications to determine job requirements
  • Adjust press settings, including ink flow, paper feed, and speed, to meet production specifications
  • Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of printing equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with printing presses and related equipment
  • Monitor print quality throughout production runs and make necessary adjustments
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency
  • Maintain accurate records of job details, materials used, and production metrics
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Assist in training junior press operators as needed

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in printing technology preferred
  • 2-3 years of experience as a press operator in a commercial printing environment
  • Proficiency in operating various types of printing presses and related equipment
  • Strong knowledge of printing processes, techniques, and industry standards
  • Ability to read and interpret work orders, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Keen attention to detail and commitment to quality control
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Excellent color perception and eye for detail
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed

Additional Information

Thepay range for this role at the noted location is $22.75 - 31.50 / hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, and shift.

In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime.
