Description:
This position's responsibility is to monitor warranty claims, coordinate and assist in managing supplier settlement and financial resolution of PDC/Glovis Port claims under the direction and guidance of the Sr. Warranty Analyst, Warranty Supervisor or QA Dept Mgr.



  • Assist and support in identifying product quality issues for supplied products, create and report warranty status weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, half-year & full year according to department SOP or ad-hoc warranty summaries.
  • Set, enforce and strive to achieve warranty targets with performance tracking metrics per expectations defined by Warranty Sr. Analyst, Warranty Supervisor or QA dept mgr for Accessory performance.
  • Support other Accessory or Parts departments with accurate warranty information regarding PDC/Port part quality indexes or historic performance.
  • Assist Supervisor or QA Dept. Manager with forecast plans, expense status or recovery reports if requested.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Monitor, review, analyze and create reports for warranty claims and coordinate settlement and financial recovery of warranty claims with OEM, OEM, OEM, Glovis and Local/Overseas suppliers under the direction of the Sr. Warranty Analyst, Warranty Supv or QA Dept Mgr. Coordinate, propose, negotiate, update and communicate policy and procedures that could streamline PDC/Glovis Port claim return process and support in the creation of a financial recovery plan for Accessory quality operations. (30%)
  • Review, confirm and obtain judgement on claims submitted through OEM/OEM/OEM on a monthly basis for accessories supplied from Overseas & Local sources for equitable resolution. Analyze, define, communicate and enforce warranty acceptance criteria and summarize monthly end results of all claim resolutions under the direction of the Sr. Warranty Analyst & Warranty Supv. Support and coordinate the requests of QA Engineering activities involving Warranty department operations. (25%)
  • Support Warranty operations by establishing, proposing and analyzing warranty targets or financial recovery plans for all active parts under the direction of the Sr. Warranty Analyst & Warranty Supv. Attend and support product launch meetings with Purchasing, Sales, QA and Engineering to define Post-launch PDC/Glovis Port claim cost exposure and forecast acceptable warranty exposure to Tier 1 Accessory operations. (15%)
  • Support and create monthly PDC/Port claim reports per Sr. Warranty Analyst & Warranty Supv direction which define program risk, financial exposures & part performance trend. Enforce recovery plan efforts by monitoring warranty claims data and other established quality indexes. (15%)
  • Monitor Local and Korean supplier resolutions for active accessory programs to assure part performance compliance with Tier 1 and Customer warranty requirements outlined per contractual obligations under the direction of the Sr. Warranty Analyst & Warranty Supv. Outline and report on completion of warranty recovery status, open issues, action plans and provide recommendations to the core team members. (10%)
  • Support the periodic review of Glovis Port claim parts. Support the creation of Warranty analysis part review reports, and coordinate with QA engineers for review of returned parts. Contact suppliers for logistical handling of recovered parts if requested. (5%)

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Process PDC/Port claims from database
  • Produce weekly reports for QA engineering group & Exec mgmt.
  • Produce monthly approvals for Finance, Exec mgmt & QA/Warranty group
  • Correspond with suppliers for dealer and PDC/Port claim resolution
  • Collaborate with Development/QA engineers for Glovis Port part recovery
  • Provide lessons learned for Development/QA engineers during program kick-off

Work schedule/hours:

  • 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Moderate overnight travel (up to 30%) by land and/or air.

Major Challenges and Key Decisions:

  • Database management of claims.
  • Management and improvement of PDC/Port claim system.
  • Establishment & enforcement of port claim resolution SOP

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or statistics field preferred.

Experience Required:


  • 2-4 years Automotive

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position.
