Transfer Initiatives and Partnerships Specialist Housed in the Enrollment division, this newly created positionwill strengthen the University of Virginia's service to the Commonwealth and commitment to access.Reporting to theSenior TransferCounselor, the Transfer Initiatives and Partnership Specialist willfacilitateand strengthen the transfer pathway for Virginia Community College students to transition to UVA.The Transfer Initiatives and Partnerships Specialist will provide comprehensive support to prospective transfer students, especially those who are eligible for federal Pell Grants, from Virginia Community Colleges, focusing on supporting transfer pathways and facilitating successful transitions. This role involves collaboration with UVA schools, academic and student service departments, and Virginia Community College partners to streamline the transfer process and enhance the overall student experience. The Enrollment division at UVA includes the Office of Undergraduate Admission, the Office of the University Registrar, Student Financial Services, andCommonwealth Partnerships. TheTransfer Initiatives and Partnership Specialist will join engaged, innovative colleagues working collaboratively to compete for talented students from allwalks of lifeand to care for students from their first interaction with the University through Final Exercises and beyond. This position ishybridand includessome travel to VCCS campus locations and to UVA, as well as remote work. The position will remain openuntilfilled, with a target start date inJanuary 2025. This is a restricted position and is dependent upon project need, availability of funding and performance.Grant funding is currently secured through June 2028. The anticipated hiring range for this position is$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 commensuratewith education, experience, and demonstratedpast performance.
