Virtual Construction Services Intern - Summer 2025

With offices in Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and Ohio, Pepper Construction is a national general contracting and construction management firm that primarily serves the private sector. Pepper Construction provides clients the experience and resources of a national company, combined with the hands-on approach of a local company.

POSITION SUMMARY:

Pepper Construction Company is looking for qualified, intelligent students with a passion for learning about the construction industry. A Virtual Construction Intern will aid in supporting project teams helping to develop and execute the plan for virtual construction on projects and helping to develop content to assist with project pursuits.

You will work side by side with other members of the Virtual Construction team as well as other construction services and project team members to on many aspects of virtual construction including, but not limited to:

• Assist in the development of project specific plans for virtual construction
• Assist with model-based MEP Coordination
• Assist with model-based clash detection and attend trade partner coordination meetings
• Helping to ensure work as coordinated can be installed safely and meets quality standards
• Create virtual reality and augmented reality experiences for project teams to assist in the communication, clarification, and coordination of project scope
• Assist project teams by developing and maintaining site logistics plans and visual schedules
• Ensure virtual construction plan is being executed properly on projects by making site visits as needed

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Current college student in their Sophomore, Junior or Senior year studying Computer Graphics Technology or related field
• Good communication skills
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team
• Ability to multi-task
• Able to provide own transportation to and from work related activities
• Detail oriented
