Do you have experience that could be an assurance and lift for young people facing houselessness to help them with the skills and resources to lead healthy, independent lives? New Avenues for Youth seeks a compassionate and resilient Reengagement Case Manager to join our East Connect team. As a Reengagement Case Manager, you'll be a consistent and intentional guide for youth navigating difficult paths. Who You Are: Experienced: You have faced and overcome challenges related to substance use, mental health, and/or houselessness. Your experience is a source of strength and fuels your compassion and care. What You'll Do: Be a Mentor and Guide: Build genuine connections with youth, share relevant and intentional experiences to instill confidence and build trust. Meet youth one on one in community or onsite to coordinate supportive services. Qualifications: * Significant work and or lived experience OR Bachelor's Degree in counseling, psychology, education or social work * Minimum of two years of experience working with youth who face multiple barriers * Bilingual in Spanish, preferred (with additional compensation) * Understanding of the impacts of trauma on mental health, substance use, and young adult development * Demonstrated ability to build trust and rapport with youth who are street-involved and have experienced sexual exploitation and/or unsafe communal environments * Familiar and comfortable with engaging youth experiencing houselessness and utilizing a harm reduction approach in response to substance use and survival behaviors * Experience, ability and commitment to working with sexual minority and culturally diverse staff, participants and community * Experience in navigating educational systems preferred * Must possess excellent communication, organization, creativity, flexibility, and interpersonal skills * Use of personal automobile for transporting self and clients for work purposes * Must have access to an automobile, a valid driver's license, and active auto insurance on that vehicle * Must be willing to be CPR trained and certified Apply Today: If you're ready to use your desire to ignite hope and inspire change, we encourage you to apply today by simply clicking on the 'Apply for Job' button at the bottom of this screen and attach your resume and cover letter.
