Genesis10 is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Consultant with our client in the financial industry located in Plano, TX, and Chicago, IL. This is a 12 + month contract position. Responsibilities: Create test plans, develop and execute test scripts to meet Functional and Non-Functional requirements Utilize extensive Agile experience to manage sprint deliverables and communicates any risks or impediments at daily stand ups, and be comfortable with participating in joint sessions/working groups to discuss solutions within an integrated team dispersed across the globe geographically Ensure that software is tested to meet all functional/non-functional requirements, defining manual tests, creating automation solutions, and executing both manual and automated test suites Ensure regression test suites are maintained and well designed Develops detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements Lead test planning, usually at a team level Ensure stories are well refined and contain clear acceptance criteria Ensure in-scope and out-of-scope items are clearly identified during test planning Implement the test framework for the team Lead test case reviews and work with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure test coverage Identify automation opportunities and develop test automation for applicable test types Help condition and generate test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments Assist in identifying and managing sensitive test data Design test data and ensure data compliance requirements are met on all levels of test environments Assist in identifying and managing sensitive test data Execute test cases, including manual and automated tests, and records test results Report issues and defects along with the appropriate background information for review Participate in triaging reported issues/defects and assists with resolving or escalating them as necessary Create and manages traceability Trace tests forwards/backwards through the development lifecycle and back to requirements Use testing tools and follows processes to complete testing on a given test environment, and assists with fulfillment of necessary steps required to promote code base to higher level environments Maintain and catalogs test suites across test types (Smoke, Integration, Regression, etc.) Individual contributor Requirements: 3+ years of experience with functional, regression, and end to end testing. 3+ years of automation testing experience 3+ years of experience with JIRA and Selenium Proven ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and independently Experience with Jira, Tosca, Slenium, Toad for Oracle, API-Json, Mainframe, Software Test Life Cycle (STLC) Agile process. Participate in the creation/execution of test plans and test scripts within JIRA Conduct functional and regression testing of new or modified applications and systems Perform high qiality manual and/or automated testing Play role of Lead Tester of small test team Follow all process and procedures to ensure full compliance with all Change Management (e.g., MRA, PMO, GIS) documented procedural requirements Excellent Communication skills Desired skills: Experience with Agile, JIRA and working in Agile teams Financial industry experience, preferable in Trade Finance Excellent Analytical Abilities Pay Range: $50.42 - $58.42 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
