Job Summary

The Scholarship Coordinator is responsible for managing TCC's scholarship and tuition waiver initiatives, work alongside various stakeholders to determine student eligibility and awarding practices. Administer the TCC general scholarship application and software system. Produce materials for counseling students and parents regarding scholarship opportunities.


Essential Duties

Responsible for creating, managing and evaluating the scholarship programs in accordance with institutional, state and federal regulations through the TCC general scholarship application and software system. Work with external company on software, changes/modifications/upgrades for scholarship applications.

Ensure the reconciliation of scholarship accounts, updating and maintenance of student tracking reports for individual scholarship accounts. Ensure, state, institutional, foundation and other scholarships as applicable are processed appropriately by working with multiple departments for compliance with state and federal policies.

Responsible for providing customer service and the development of communication to prospective and current students regarding scholarship and tuition waiver opportunities at Tulsa Community College.

Develop, manage, and maintain scholarship policies, procedures, and operations in collaboration with the leadership team within the Financial Aid & Scholarships Office to ensure appropriate disbursement and fiscal accountability.

Produce training materials, conduct training, and serve as a resource for staff and campus partners.

Responsible for staff supervision; organizing and coordinating workflow and schedules. Monitoring quantitative and qualitative staff output and effectiveness, for performance evaluation.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in one of the behavioral sciences, public or business administration, or a job-related field of study. Degree requirement may be substituted with relevant and equivalent work experience.

Three years experience in higher education, financial aid or scholarship administration.

Experience managing scholarship database management systems.

Knowledge of Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education scholarship programs.

Ability to prepare and maintain accurate records and meeting minutes.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive communications with students, parents, employees and external agencies.


Preferred Qualifications

Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams.

Ability to develop, document, implement and assess systems-based solutions for administrative functions.

Strong analytical and organizational skills, as well as excellent time and resource management skills experience.

Knowledge of federal Title IV regulations regarding awarding and disbursement of aid.
