The shipping and receiving clerk is responsible for coordinating and facilitating all shipping and receiving of finish goods, raw materials and other miscellaneous items for the Katy Plant.

• Completes necessary data entry in shipping portals to properly account for material movements.
• Oversees placement of incoming trucks and interacts with truck drivers providing them with instructions and directions.
• Communicates with corporate procurement on incoming/Outgoing deliveries.
• Work with other plants on material delivery and schedule departures.
• Receives and process POs in a daily basis, verifying all paperwork is received.
• Ensure assigned work area is kept clean and organized.
• Organize and manage shipping files by dates.
• Support the inventory process (BOM Counts, paper roll counts and FG)
• Reconciles AX inventory transactions daily.
• Processes all PDN's, Product Defect Notifications, daily. (Inventory issue transactions.)
• Researches all inventory discrepancies.
• Assists in the training of new Material Handlers on shipping and receiving procedures as they relate to inventory transactions.
• Prepares semi-annual mock recalls for audits and actual recalls, if necessary.
• Adhere to all plant safety and housekeeping policies.
• Perform other job duties as assigned and support the shipping department on different activities as needed.

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must be a team-player with a "can do" attitude
• 1-2 years of experience in a distribution center, traffic, or a warehouse environment required
• Must be capable of working in hot, dusty areas
• Must be able to frequently lift and carry 50 lbs.
• Must possess exceptional communication skills both oral and written and be able to read basic English
• Computer literate in an ERP system and Microsoft Office with the ability to use workstations or RF scanners, email, copiers and printers.
• Experience driving forklift or other powered industrial trucks
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and a sense of urgency.
• Able to work independently at times and with minimal supervision but can also work easily as part of the team when needed.
• Demonstrates initiative and good problem-solving skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish, preferred.
• Must be able to meet consistent attendance and be punctual.
