Job Description Summary
The Speech-Language Pathology ( SLP) program in the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Lewis University invites applications for Assistant/Associate Professor of Speech-Language Pathology. This is a full-time, tenure track appointment. All areas of expertise within the discipline will be considered. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

Responsibilities
Responsible to model the University Mission through dedicated job performance, service excellence to constituencies, respectful collaboration and active support of the University's mission and Catholic and Lasallian higher education.

-Developing and teaching didactic academic courses in the SLP curriculum, including undergraduate prerequisite and graduate courses.
-Developing and executing a line of scholarly research that results in dissemination of knowledge.
-Participation in clinical education of SLP students, scholarly projects and community outreach.
-Completing service to the program, college, university and our profession.
-Recording assessment data regarding student achievement at midterm and end of each semester.
-Participation in departmental meetings, graduation ceremonies, and other meetings or events, as required.
Minimum Qualifications
Earned doctoral degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or a related area, and be able to demonstrate a significant record of university teaching experience, clinical experience and expertise, and scholarship. Must hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence in speech-language pathology ( CCC- SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association ( ASHA), and must hold or be eligible for the Illinois state speech-language pathology license.
