Job Summary
Under supervision of the ASAP Director, provide short-term counseling, crisis intervention, consultation, and referral services for UCD employees and their adult family members on personal or work-related problems. Coordinate the development of informational programs on topics such as stress management, identifying substance abuse, etc. Collaborate with other employee support services, with an emphasis on problem prevention and/or early resolution. Oversee all clinical activities of Davis campus ASAP staff and act as lead in Director's absence. Apply By Date December 3, 2024 at 11:59pm Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
- Requires California licensure as a psychologist.
- Successful completion of a doctorate degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
- Experience with multi-cultural issues, and familiarity with all ages, socio-economic groups, and educational levels represented within the university employee population.
- Knowledge and skills to coordinate ASAP's postdoctoral training program, including recruitment and selection of postdoctoral fellows, development and provision of didactic training modules, oversight of training program and supervision, coordination of trainee and program evaluations, meeting with professional staff to coordinate special training needs, program planning and resource allocation.
- The eligibility to supervise masters, pre-doctoral and post-doctoral interns under CAPIC/APPIC policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of psychotherapeutic theories, approaches, and interventions and skills to work with complex counseling cases.
- Ability to provide consultative services for managers and supervisors on matters pertaining to mental health/substance abuse, along with the experience providing organizational interventions with workgroups.
- Interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to interact clearly and effectively with a diverse group of individuals to secure and/or provide information to clarify situations, resolve problems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Employee Assistance or related programs. Demonstrated knowledge of crisis intervention, brief counseling, substance abuse/chemical dependency, and other workplace issues.
- Supervision experience (Both supervision of staff and of postdoctoral fellows collecting hours licensure).
- Strong presentation skills.

Work Environment
- Position requires signing a statement of understanding of the Dependent Adult/Elder Abuse Reporting Requirement.
- Must be willing to work occasional overtime, evenings, and weekends to meet emergency needs and periodically provide service to all shifts.
- This is a remote/hybrid position that requires the successful applicant to work on site (in the Guilbert House on the UCD campus) at least 1 day per week with a likelihood of increasing to 2 days per week on site in the coming year.
