This is a 100% Contract position for 1 year with the possibility of extension or conversion to career status. Reporting to the Associate Director of Student Organization Advising and Events, the Student Organization Advisor and Program Manager is responsible for advising and assist with event planning for multiple categories of CSI's 650+ student organizations who plan 4,000+ on-campus events annually. Advise additional categories of registered student organizations as needed through drop-in advising and programs. Advise and coach student leaders on the development and implementation of programs, applicable policies and procedures, risk management, issues management, goal setting, leadership development and organization management. Reviews, interprets and advises student organizations on university policies and procedures as they relate to campus activities. Along with the CSI Student Organization Advising and Events team, the position coordinates, manages, assesses, and supports campus-wide events and programs that promote involvement in student organizations and campus life, as needed. Programs include student organization fairs, community mentor training and events, Triton Weeks of Welcome events, annual CSI student awards, and more. Using knowledge and skills as a seasoned, experienced Student Services professional, performs the full range of duties and responsibilities within a Student Life specialization. Assesses situations and determines appropriate action or referral. Works independently under general supervision to provide information and interpretation of complex policies, procedures and regulations. Identifies and responds to student needs for programs, services, and crisis intervention. QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $58,600 - $100,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $28.07 - $48.28 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
