Job Summary:

Support the Real Estate department through research, lease administration and project coordination. Oversee and manage the Real Estate portfolio of existing La-Z-Boy retail stores and new stores in development to ensure all lease deadlines are met. Participate actively in La-Z-Boy's Real Estate Committee meetings by preparing all meeting material and properly recording agenda items. Conduct market research and evaluation for new and potential relocation store decisions. Actively present material to leadership to be used at Real Estate Committee for final approval.

Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):
  • Oversee and manage the real estate portfolio leases and coordinate document delivery to appropriate stakeholders. Provide monthly updates to the Accounting and Finance teams on the status of leases for approved projects.
  • Update the master portfolio workbook on a monthly basis. (current rents, current store formats, notice dates, expiration dates, projected sales, relevant current and historical financial information, and approved / in-development properties)
  • Real Estate Committee - Prepare all required material for the general REC deck and material for individual projects. Schedule all REC meetings with CEO's executive assistant. Understand meeting content to control deck during presentation. Create and distribute meeting minutes following REC meeting.
  • Keep the master REC minutes file up to date. Manage REC master Checklist on Teams-track projects from REC preview through final approval.
  • R&A Approval - Provide documentation for each new lease, renewal or relocation tied to the business and ROI associated with the project. Track Status of each project and report to shared services team.
  • Market Research: Utilize eSite and PlacerAI to generate market reports and tour books for the Real Estate team. Run site analysis reports and provide a high-level recap to the Team.
  • Existing Conditions Report - Coordinate with Facilities team to understand existing conditions for projects with leases coming to term and report findings to Real Estate / Construction team for evaluation prior to lease negotiations.
  • Document Management: Coordinate with the Legal & Finance Department to ensure project timing is not delayed due to document delays.
  • eSite Updates - Regularly update the eSite service team to ensure the platform remains current.
  • Lucernex - Add projects to Lucernex database. (REC previews / Approvals) Use software for pre-REC tracking and database.
  • Update the construction portfolio database following any material changes to location, format, or ownership.
  • Aid Const. Dept. with general contractor qualification forms. (Issue, Track, Receive)
  • Work with Const. Dept. to source documents vital to project development.
  • Work with Const. Dept. to track tenant allowance payments and ensure timely payments are received.
  • Other administrative real estate functions as assigned by the Real Estate leadership team
SCOPE & IMPACT:

This is a Real Estate Development Coordinator position with ongoing training and administrative responsibilities. They will be responsible aiding the real estate and shared services team with project coordination and lease administration. Their work will be presented to our real estate committee that includes the CEO, CFO and President of Retail.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business or relevant field with 0-2 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Specifically Excel & PowerPoint)
