General Purpose and Scope of Position:

This position is critical to the operations team, supporting order processing, inventory management, and overall warehouse performance. It is also tasked with providing outstanding customer service and is a key liaison between sales, operations, suppliers, and customers. Additionally, this position provides clerical assistance in order processing and inventory management.

Key Skills and Abilities Include:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required - Associate or Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Proficiency with technology and software, including Microsoft Office and Windows applications. Proficiency with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is preferred; training will be provided
  • Knowledge of mathematical concepts and the ability to apply such concepts as fractions, percentages, and ratios to practical application with accuracy
  • Ability to sit at a desk and/or computer terminal to perform writing and/or keying/typing information for protracted periods of time
  • Mobility to move freely across uneven terrain both indoors and outdoors safely

  • Strong interpersonal and effective communication skills for interaction with customers and fellow employees across verbal, written, and all media (phone, e-mail, text) formats
  • Backround in agronomy desired
  • The ability to maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources
  • Maintains a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Practical organization skills with strong attention to detail along with the ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple assignments
  • Ability to respond professionally to common inquiries or concerns from sales staff and other employees, customers, regulatory agencies, suppliers, etc
  • Reads writes and speaks the English language fluently

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:

  • Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to ensure smooth business and warehouse operations
  • Provide product recommendations to internal customers
  • Utilize JD Edwards (Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software), Microsoft Office, and other online platforms to perform daily duties (monitor and process sales orders, shipping documents, invoicing, and payment collection)
  • Respond to inquiries and emails from customers, clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders in a timely, accurate and appropriate manner
  • Assist with inventory management including the purchasing and receiving of products as well as daily/quarterly movement counts
  • Meet or exceed timelines established under Timely Transaction Processing policy (TTP)
  • Work closely with the operations team to ensure adequate inventory levels are maintained to meet customer needs
  • Assist the Sales Team inaccurate customer pricing and quickly resolve any inquiries or concerns
  • Assists other office team members in administrative tasks to ensure quality customer service, meeting deadlines, and sales support
  • Supports Sales and/or Operations Manager as requested
  • Exemplify compliance with company policies and procedures within the office and support the warehouse in remaining compliant with local, state, and federal regulations
  • All other duties as required

Compensation and Benefits:

  • In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $18.99 - $25.34. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
