Job Summary:

This position is responsible for monitoring, supporting, and participating in the development/enhancements of distributive system management platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Resolve issues through level 3 in server, operating systems or other software under the control of the Distributed Systems management team
  • Provide guidance to junior infrastructure analysts and follows guidance and direction from Lead and senior
  • Perform day to day operations to maintain SLAs and business functions
  • Acquire knowledge of new technologies and may implement to benefit Hoizon and disseminate this information ti IT staff members
  • Manage vendor relationships including hardware, software, and maintence contracts
  • Escalate issues when necessary to senior members of the team for resolution
  • Take ownership of all assigned level II and III issues and be responsible for follow up from end to end
  • Installation and configuration of applications, clusters, and databases
  • Documenting processes and procedures for infrastructure support
  • Ability to implement architectural changes infrastructure changes of entire systems.
  • Ability to attend technical mtg with peers and interact with enough knowledge to contribute to end results.
  • Ability to suggest, recommend and plan, Architectural changes to infrastructure
  • 100% SME with ability to teach levels below
  • Ability to run technical mtg with peers and above
  • 10+ years related IT work experience

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required or 12 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree

Work Experience:

  • 9+ years of related IT work experience.

Knowledge:

  • Requires knowledge of distributive computing platforms
  • Requires Microsoft server technologies and WinTel platforms
  • Requires understanding in email platforms/technologies
  • Change Management methodolgies preferred

Skills:

  • Requires strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Requires excellent communication skills and ability to write and discuss clear procedures regarding technical issues

Additional Comments:

  • Proven knowledge and expertise in planning and executing Disaster Recovery.
  • Demonstrate technical and advisory leadership for customers, and consultants and effectively communicate technical and business message.
  • Ensure standardization of systems implementation, support techniques, and adherence to formal processes, change control, best practices, and total quality practices in all activities.
  • Extensive (SME Level) knowledge of following operating systems Windows 2012, Windows 2016, Windows 2019, Windows 2022,
  • Must have architecture and operation experience supporting 20 Terabytes of file and print services, including file cluster, print cluster, network shares and topology, SAN storage and forecasting future growth.
  • Good understanding of networking protocol such at TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, WINS, SNMP, OSI layers, Firewalls, Routers, Switches, VLANs, telnet, FTP, Secure FTP, VPN, HTTP, and HTTPS, Load Balancers (F5, Radware, Cisco, and NLB) is a plus
  • Deep understanding of technologies such as Internet Information Servers (IIS), SQL servers, Clusters, Application servers, Distributed Computing platforms with COM+ applications, BizTalk, Dot Net, Terminal Services,
  • Solid understanding of windows infrastructure including Active Directory, DNS, Certificate Authority, Batch and scripting, WMI, Security Updates, service packs, , and day to day operations within infrastructure.
  • Indepth Understanding of SAN infrastructure including fiber channel architecture.
  • Understanding of NAS infrastructure and Cloud Object stores
  • Experience with PowerEdge Servers ,HP Proliant (all generations), firmware upgrades, Drivers, etc.
  • Dell Isilon / PowerScale
  • Skilled in capacity planning, analysis, and performance tuning
  • Ensure servers are secure by implementing security measures, responding to security incidents, and conducting security audits
  • Troubleshoot issues, perform upgrades, and patching of servers
  • Optimize server performance and reliability by identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions
  • Experience with VMware Technologies: vSphere 7.x/8.x, vSAN, vROPs/Aria Operation
  • Proficiency with Azure Entra ID and AWS Active Directory Domain Services

Salary Range:

$106,400 - $145,215

This compensation range is specific to the job level and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: education, experience, licensure, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. This range has been created in good faith based on information known to Horizon at the time of posting. Compensation decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each case.
