Working Hours: 8:00 am- 5:00 pm, M-F (Can be adjusted to 7:00 am - 4:00 pm)
Overview:
A global leading Freight Forwarding/ Logistics company is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Billing Agent to join their Ocean Import team.
You will work closely with various departments to gather and verify billing information, generate invoices, provide invoices to clients, maintain documentation and recordkeeping, and communicate with clients to address any billing inquiries. The ideal candidate will have a strong mathematical and data entry skills to ensure the accuracy and efficiency of billing processes.
Competitive hourly wage of $20/hour and more based on experience and qualifications. Temporary position with potential for extension.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include but not are Limited to:
* Generate invoices daily for clients through the Unified Freight System (UFS) by accurately compiling and reviewing shipment data.
* Ensure that all billing information is complete, accurate, and in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
* Distribute invoices to clients via preferred methods in email, postal mail, FedEx, and/or upload to the payment website.
* Maintain organized and up-to-date billing records and documentation.
* Collaborate with the operations team to collect necessary information for billing purposes.
* Address any discrepancies or concerns raised by clients and work towards timely resolution.
* Perform other duties assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
* Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Proficient computer skills and a willingness to learn new software.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
* Proficient typing skills (30-40 wpm).
Preferred Qualifications:
* Work experience in air freight forwarding or logistics (not required).
