Description Acara Solutions is hiring a Quality Manager for a client located in Tonawanda, NY. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in quality assurance, vendor management, and compliance. Candidates with prior military or Navy experience are strongly encouraged to apply, as the skills and discipline gained through service align well with the responsibilities of this role Location: Tonawanda, NY (14120) Compensation: Up to $90,000/year, dependent on experience Schedule: 100% onsite Key Responsibilities: Oversee the quality rejection system, including identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality, manufacturing, and vendor-related issues. Monitor and evaluate vendor performance, including qualification, approval, and corrective actions as needed. Conduct training for employees on quality standards and procedures. Manage the calibration system, ensuring accurate documentation and compliance. Partner with customers and government inspectors to achieve certification and ensure compliance with purchase requirements and specifications. Job Requirements Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of quality assurance experience in a machine shop environment. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience working with an ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System. Preferred Skills & Qualifications: Strong knowledge of certification requirements for materials and parts in accordance with ASTM, Military, or similar specifications. Experience with Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) techniques, particularly under SNT-TC-1A standards for welding and casting inspections, including Visual Testing (VT), Penetrant Testing (PT), and Radiographic Testing (RT).
