ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE/FULL PROFESSOR

We are seeking candidates for tenured or tenure-track positions at all ranks who work on the molecular basis of neurological disorders, including Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, ALS-FTD, ataxia, Huntington's disease, Multiple Sclerosis, stroke/vascular dementia, and other neurological and psychiatric disorders. Successful candidates for these positions are expected to have already established or have the potential to develop a nationally recognized, competitively funded research program and participate in graduate/medical student education and mentoring. Successful candidates will be provided with dry and wet laboratory space at the Byrd Institute or the Center of Excellence for Aging and Brain Repair and be placed in a home department at the USF Morsani College of Medicine. Based on qualifications, the home department may be Molecular Pharmacology & Physiology, Molecular Medicine, Pathology and Cell Biology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Psychiatry, or other relevant departments. Successful candidates will be offered institutional salary support commensurate with experience and highly competitive start-up packages that promote success.

The Byrd Alzheimer's Institute and relevant departments are located on the Tampa campus of USF Health, which includes the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health, and the Moffitt Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Neuroscience Institute is a modern, multi-use, interdisciplinary facility housing three floors of clinical space, three floors of laboratory space, and a dedicated vivarium floor. Successful candidates will establish their labs in the Neuroscience Institute and have access to state-of-the-art infrastructure and outstanding core facilities.
