Project Manager (Non-IT)

Position Summary:

The main function of a non-IT project manager is to plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as engineering, research and development, financial systems and product roll-out, etc. or any other non-IT based project. This leader has the responsibility for strategic development and program operational support team for our clients Retail Device program at AT&T. You will work with Channel Operations and Account teams on the planning, execution and evaluation of the Advocacy program. You will be responsible for stakeholder management; project planning including milestone management; and risk and issue management.

Reports to the Director, AT&T Retail Channel, based at our Plano, TX office.

Responsibilities:



  • Be a strategic partner to assist in shaping and driving the strategy for program execution, including goal setting and measurement, and identification of gaps and opportunities to focus
  • Ensure the successful implementation of program strategy, objectives, targets, and deliverables
  • Adopt changes to address changing market conditions and evolving business
  • Work closely with retail and account team leadership on project deliverables
  • Establish frameworks and standards for Program and Project Management
  • Manage and/or compile Program related financial and KPI information
  • Define and embed project control and governance
  • Provide Project planning, Milestone management, Scope management, Financial Management; Change Management across the project portfolio
  • Data interpretation (assessing key change drivers)
  • Preparing slides communicating findings in a succinct and visual manner
  • Works closely with Retail, Account team and Marketing functions to ensure strategy and plans are effectively implemented and reviewed



Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree preferred with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in Product, Online, Sales or Marketing Management experience
  • PMI or PMP certification preferred
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience
  • Proven ability to successfully bring products to market and providing strategic guidance and operational oversight
  • Ability to communicate effectively and craft compelling narratives to influence business and tactical stakeholders across all levels of the organization
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, including ability to operate in ambiguity and establishing frame works that apply to emerging business problems
  • Strong organization and execution skills, including ability to operate independently and drive strategic initiatives from ideation to end results
  • Experience with top retailer or consumer electronics strongly preferred
  • Will need to be results oriented, seek empowerment, inquisitive, and possess versatile communication styles
  • Ability to influence, lead, motivate and direct the activities cross functional resources and support groups to attain objectives, establish project schedules and execute within specified timeline
