THE POSITION

The Department of Revenue is searching for a Clerical Assistant 2 to provide clerical and customer service support to the claims division of the PA Lottery Department. If you are energetic, efficient, and detail-oriented, this may be the position for you!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

The Clerical Assistant 2 in this position will receive and respond to a wide variety of phone calls and emails regarding PA Lottery claims and games. Must be able to reference prescribed guidelines and manuals to resolve various issues and provide information and solutions to assist customers. Proofreads claim forms and reviews tickets for accuracy and completeness and enters approved claims into the lottery back-office system.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $35,306 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or
  • Graduation from high school; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):
  • Previous customer service experience.
  • Previous call center experience.
