DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will process criminal or applicant fingerprint submissions submitted by criminal justice agencies and vendors. This includes analyzing fingerprint submissions by verifying correct sequencing, descriptive, and image data and making identity determinations through the analysis of side-by-side images. You will be expected to determine positive or non-positive identification of an individual that may result in the update of existing files and records or the creation of a record within the Central Repository and FBI files. This role also monitors and resolves administrative requests and answers incoming phone calls related to fingerprints and researches PA and FBI fingerprint and criminal history files for incomplete or inaccurate information. - Full-time employment, 40 hours per week.
- Work hours are in a 24/7 environment with rotating shifts that will include weekends and holidays.
- Telework: You must be willing to work onsite full-time. Teleworking is not an option as part of this position's work schedule.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $47,883.00 (before taxes).

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months of experience in the identification and non-identification of individuals through fingerprint and palm print examination, comparison, and verification; or
- Successful completion of the fingerprint identification course offered by the Pennsylvania State Police.
Other Requirements:
- You must meet the PA residency requirement. For more information on ways to meet PA residency requirements, follow the link and click on Residency.
- You must obtain and maintain an active Commonwealth Law Enforcement Assistance Network (CLEAN) certification issued by the Pennsylvania State Police within the probationary period and maintain the same for the duration of employment in this job.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
