DESCRIPTION

UC San Diego Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Application Analyst who will provide oversight on a wide variety of duties related to Information Technology applications, specifically the Epic Resolute Professional Billing, Charge Router, Single Billing Office, Claims, Remittance, and Research Billing. Responsibilities include servicing as technical resource; designing, developing, testing, implementing, and evaluating Revenue Cycle Information Systems for the organization. This position will report to the Professional Billing IS Supervisor in the Information Services department and will closely collaborate with Revenue Cycle operations (Patient Access, Revenue Integrity, Professional Billing, Continuous Improvement, Trainers, Finance, Cashiers, Hospital Billing, Clinical Research Billing, and Single Business Office), Sr. Revenue Cycle analysts as well as third party vendors and other application teams on a daily basis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Seven (7) years of related experience, education/training, OR a Bachelor's degree in related area plus three (3) years of related experience/training.

  • Must obtain certification in primary EMR module(s) within four (4) months of initial hire.

  • Must maintain current certification for primary EMR module(s) as a condition of employment.

  • Experience and proven success in information systems implementation, development andsupport within a large-scale healthcare organization.

  • Demonstrated experience as a major participant in a clinical system implementation.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Epic Certification in Resolute Professional Billing.

  • Epic Professional Billing Claims/Remittance Experience.

  • Revenue Cycle Experience.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $94,400 - $176,800 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $45.21 - $84.67

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
