The Opportunity:

UCF Health - Student Health Services (SHS) provides various primary and specialty care services to help keep students at their optimum health. The Health Center is located on the Main Campus, and satellite clinics are located at the Rosen, Health Sciences, and Downtown campuses. Our services are designed with students' needs in mind. Become a part of our committed UCF Student Health Team as a Primary Care Physician and deliver outstanding healthcare to our community.

Responsibilities:


  • Provides medical care including evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and therapy for all patients.
  • Order and interpret tests.
  • Perform suturing and/or minor surgical procedures.
  • Counsel students on preventative health care.
  • Prescribe medications.
  • Prepare correspondence relating to patient care, maintains records in a timely manner, and communicates with consultants and relatives of patients as necessary and permitted by law.
  • Participate in appropriate committees.
  • Participate in long range planning, and campus wide health promotion.
  • Absolute confidentiality according with Florida statutes and Federal requirements.
  • Supervise advanced care practitioners and teaching residents and medical students.

Minimum Qualifications:

Licensed to practice medicine in accordance with Chapter 458, Florida Statutes, and 4+ years of relevant experience. Completion of a residency program may substitute for the required experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy.
  • Experience in college health or comparable busy primary care outpatient clinical experience.
  • Completion of a 3-year residency program in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

The most successful candidates may possess the following qualities:

  • Excellent communication skills, and ability to relate well with staff and students in a college health environment.

Monday - Friday within the hours of 7:30am - 6:30pm. (8 hour shifts/40 hours) Occasional Saturdays may be required. Hours are subject to change due to operational needs, special projects and emergencies.
