GENERAL FUNCTION: Responsible for all talent acquisition functions, specifically geared toward attracting, sourcing and selecting top talent to the organization. May also be involved in a wide variety of Human Capital project work and initiatives. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develops and maintains strategic relationships with key stakeholders including senior managers, leaders and executives.
- Develop and drive talent acquisition/sourcing strategies to proactively attract a well-qualified and diverse workforce for exempt positions to ensure hiring managers have a pool of qualified top talent needed to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
- Meets with senior leaders to support the execution of business recruiting strategies and plans.
- Has a deep knowledge of assigned business groups structure, strategies, and other critical skill requirements.
- Develop a pool of qualified candidates in advance of need by utilizing aggressive pro-active sourcing strategies.
- Provide advice and counsel hiring managers regarding their interviewing behaviors, skills, and competencies, to ensure talent selection is fair and compliant.
- Provides guidance and information to the candidates on the benefits of working for Fifth Third Bank, both personally and professionally as well as notify them of employment considerations.
- Drive proactive collaboration team with hiring manager and COE HR partners to build strong, competitive, market appropriate offer.
- Extends and negotiates candidate offers; at times complex compensation strategies are often needed and an understanding of these strategies is essential.
- Maintains a constant and steady focus on external marketplace and industry trends. Report market and competitor intelligence.
- Develops and drives relationships with external employment sources, including graduate and undergraduate placement offices, research firms, and specific industry focused organizations.
- Inspire positive experience for everyone; always looking at how to improve the candidate experience and influence the business in the importance of the candidate experience.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: No direct management but may provide guidance and direction to less senior talent acquisition consultants. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in HR or business related field (or equivalent working experience required).
- 5-7 years of progressive recruiting or HR experience required.
- Experience recruiting for Wealth or Licensed talent preferred.
- Experience operating in an environment that stresses both individual accountability and team-based performance is critical.
- Sense of urgency and a continual drive for results coupled with an ability to partner effectively with hiring managers are key success factors.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, verbal and written communication skills is crucial.
- Must be well organized and able to coordinate multiple tasks and requests
- Excellent problem solving skills are essential
- Must be able to demonstrate recruitment networking and creative sourcing skills
- Ability to interact well with all organizational levels
- Ability to work independently. Integrity- maintains confidentiality at all times
- Computer/Technical: Must possess PC technical aptitude.
