Harmon, Inc. Participate in the estimating process to execute project sales efforts

You analyze all project documents to determine and prepare the estimated cost of a project. You prepare material quantity takeoffs for the Preconstruction Services Manager to execute a competitive bid. You work in a team environment with other estimators to support offices across the U.S and Canada and collaborate closely with Preconstruction Services and Project Management teams.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Your top priority is to provide accurate estimates that are completed on time to help Harmon win projects.

  • Conduct estimating on a day-to-day basis
  • Contribute to project results by executing estimating process with few errors
  • Participate and drive takeoff efficiency through use of 3D technology and data sets.
  • Partner with Preconstruction Services Managers and vendors to create accurate and on time bids

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 2-year degree in Engineering Technology or similar field required
  • 3-5 years of related work experience with advanced skills in Excel or other logic-based software and technical expertise
  • 3+ years of estimating experience required
  • Construction experience required. Building facade experience preferred.

* Mathematical Skills: Work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations
