Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 9:00am - 5:30pm

OVERVIEW:

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Full-time Vehicle Maintenance, you will perform general maintenance and repairs on diesel equipment. You will be performing installations, preventative maintenance, diagnostic tasks, oil changes and maintenance on tires, brakes, trucks and trailers. These tasks are expected to be done efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with DOT regulations. RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

o Providing excellent service while supporting maintenance needs

o Performing oil changes and maintenance on tires, brakes and detailing for company vehicles

o Performing trailer pre-delivery inspections

o Performing electrical diagnostics on ABS, lighting and hydraulic systems

o Performing repairs on trailer body and supporting components

o Performing trailer preventative maintenance and DOT inspections in accordance with federal regulations

o Maintain the cleanliness/organization of work area

o Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations

o Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives

o Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

The following skills and qualifications are required for this position:

o Possess a current full valid driver's license issued in the country where the job is located (including successful completion of any applicable graduated license program for your state or province) as well as the ability to meet our driving record requirements to use a company vehicle, as needed

o Mechanically inclined

o Proficient written and oral communication skills

o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment

o Work independently as well as in a team environment

o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities

o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills

o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented

o Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed

o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork

o Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs

o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

o Possess at least 1 year of prior mechanical work experience

o Prior welding, cutting and shaping of metals experience
