Compensation Grade: M27Compensation Details: Minimum: $102,577.00 - Maximum: $102,577.00 AnnuallyDepartment (OPH) Office of Public HealthJob Description: Responsibilities The Assistant Director, Grants Administration will assist in directing and managing the fiscal and administrative aspects of multi-disciplinary and cross organizational grant awards. The Assistant Director will provide leadership, oversight and performance measures for the office. The incumbent will assist in directing the management and oversight of the emerging infections grant awards; provide grant policy interpretation and recommendations; revise and develop internal DOH-HRI policies or procedures to meet program needs; assist in directing and development of strategic plans; assist in directing grants management (associated with multiple, large, and/or complex awards); assist in directing budget and contract management; supervise staff and perform other appropriate related duties. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of experience in the direction and/or management of fiscal and grant activities; OR an Associate's degree in a related field and seven years of such experience; OR nine years of such experience. The years of experience must have included policy formulation, program planning, design, implementation, evaluation and/or allocation of resources. At least three years of experience must have included supervision of staff and program management. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing progress reports. Experience managing budgets and/or contracts. Administrative and/or financial experience. Conditions of Employment Grant funded position. Compliance with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting, grant deliverables, and contract deliverables, is required. Valid and unrestricted authorization to work in the U.S. is required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. Travel, up to 25% of the time, will be required. This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting will be available.
