Department's Website: The position holder is expected to teach eight courses (24 credits) per year with a mix of face-to-face and online instruction, as needed, normally with no more than two different course preparations per semester. The specific course assignments will be determined by the department chair based on the needs of the department and the expertise of the faculty member. This position will also be expected to engage in intellectual contributions of the practical and/or academic types and in service activities that contribute to the department, college, university and professional community. The Sam M. Walton College of Business, founded at the University of Arkansas in 1926 and accredited by AACSB International since 1931, has been ranked as a top 30 public business school for 20 years in a row by U.S. News & World Report. U.S. News currently ranks Walton College 25th (undergraduate) and 36th (MBA) among public business schools. Princeton Review ranks the UofA as the top graduate entrepreneurship program in the SEC, and in the top 50 overall. Teaching Assistant Professors who demonstrate excellence in their roles can be promoted to the ranks of Teaching Associate Professor and later to Teaching Professor. Additionally, based on merit, non-tenure track faculty may be eligible for multi-year contracts, typically for terms of three or five years. Current non-tenure track faculty are actively involved in faculty governance at both the college and university levels. The SEVI department oversees the undergraduate major and minor in innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as undergraduate micro-certificates in outdoor recreation, entrepreneurship, and social innovation. Select SEVI faculty act as mentors for Students Acquiring Knowledge through Enterprise ("S.A.K.E."), the undergraduate student-run venture program. At the graduate level, the department offers a PhD program in Strategy and Entrepreneurship, a Master of Science in Product Innovation, and a Graduate Certificate in Entrepreneurship.
