Reporting to the Program Director, the ideal individual is flexible, compassionate and professional. This position is responsible for leadership and management of Maverick House Residential & Outpatient programs. The position is also responsible for coordinating effectively with managers and leadership in key areas to ensure effective service delivery. Provides direct clinical care (Maintains a minimum caseload of three) and supervision of Paraprofessional & BHT staff; coordinates client referrals, case management services as needed, tasks involved in serving the consumers in community placements; works with other program staff, administrative staff, program manager, and director; participates in program evaluation procedures and professional record keeping; works under the direct supervision of the program Director.

This position assists with administrative authority of the Paraprofessional and Behavioral Health Technician Staff: assists with the hiring, training and evaluates all staff and ensures that the program is meeting all state contracts, federal contracts, and CARF guidelines. The supervisor will provide clinical oversight for all Paraprofessional & BHT staff to meet all licensure requirements as well as state, Federal, CARF- and contract specific regulations.

  • Responsible to provide direct clinical care services. Maintains a minimum caseload of three.
  • Responsible to complete Concurrent Reviews, Discharge planning, Discharge Summaries, Intake assessments, complete Integrative Service Plans, ASAM Assessments and to add progress notes in NextGen.
  • Responsible for overseeing all daily operations of Paraprofessional & BHT staff, including maintenance of the work schedule.
  • Provides individual treatment planning and ensures weekly review of progress.
  • Provides individual counseling sessions and group counseling.
  • Works in cooperation with other local and state agencies and related public and private groups concerned with behavioral health issues to ensure coordination of care.
  • Maintains accurate and professional records on clients served.
  • Provides basic crisis management and appropriate referral services.
  • Participates in staff training and conducts education programs on behavioral health topics.
  • Provides for general maintenance of agency equipment and facilities.
  • Works with others to promote a multi-disciplinary team concept of client care.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in medical or behavioral health Field or Associate Degree in Medical or Behavioral.
  • Health Field or 2 years' experience in substance abuse field.
  • Experience working with persons with severe mental illness.
  • Ability to work independently, with flexibility, and within prescribed deadlines.
  • Basic computer skills (Outlook -email-, Word, Excel, TEAMS) Ability to track tasks in TEAMS.
  • Experience in group therapy.
  • Possess good communication & customer service skills, and be able to work well with individuals and groups.
  • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level 1) or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card within 7 working days of assuming role.
  • Supervisory experience and ability to function in an administrative role.
  • Demonstrate time management, organizational, conflict resolution and judgment skills.
  • Knowledgeable about counseling, intake assessment, ASAM assessment, and case management with persons with substance abuse, mental health, and co-occurring disorders.
  • Must have valid Arizona driver's license, be 21 years of age with minimum 4 years driving experience and meet requirements of Terros Health's driving policy.
  • Must pass a TB Test
