I. Major Responsibilities:
1. Salaried clinicians are expected to work a specific number of hours per week which is comprised of clinical hours (billable activity), administrative time (treatment notes, meetings, supervision, etc.), education and training, and program operations. Attendance at staff meetings, supervisions, and the Quarterly All Staff meeting is required.
2. Salaried staff are expected to meet productivity benchmarks and to also contribute to program development; represent the program/hospital at internal and external meetings; help to coordinate certain specialized groups, programs, or activities; and to develop new clinical or didactic skills to enhance treatment or increase staff knowledge.
3. Electronic Medical Record will remain up-to-date, complete, professionally written, and in compliance with regulatory agencies.
4. Contribute to the creation of a professional treatment setting by always showing respect for clients, co-workers, the institution, and being part of developing an atmosphere without gossip and prejudice.
5. Continually seek out information and develop professional skills to work with a broad range of disorders, and expand and share knowledge of resources.
6. Each staff member will share responsibility to ensure that program needs are met. This includes working on-site at least one evening per week and having a presence in the office during assigned hours. This may include covering groups/clients when another clinician is out, and handling clients who walk-in for treatment.
7. The Director approves all changes in staff schedules; including work done at home, and adjusting schedules to meet client needs.
8. Only assignments assessed to be well beyond the normal responsibilities of a staff person within the scheduled work-week may result in the specific reduction of total available time which will, in turn, reduce productivity obligations for that individual during that period. Productivity time is earned only through billable clinical service hours.

Standard Staffing Level Responsibilities:
1. Complies with established departmental policies, procedures and objectives.
2. Attends variety of meetings, conferences, seminars as required or directed.
3. Demonstrates use of Quality Improvement in daily operations.
4. Complies with all health and safety regulations and requirements.
5. Respects diverse views and approaches, demonstrates Standards of Respect, and contributes to creating and maintaining an environment of professionalism, tolerance, civility and acceptance toward all employees, patients and visitors.
6. Maintains, regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
7. Performs other similar and related duties as required or directed.

All responsibilities are essential job functions.

II. Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:
Required:
1. Graduation and training from an accredited graduate program with a current unrestricted licensure by the Massachusetts Board of Registration: MA/MSW, PhD (L.I.C.S.W/L.M.H.C/L.M.F.T.).

Experience/Skills:
Required:
1. 2 years of experience working with mental health and substance abuse disorders in a clinical setting.

Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements.

Department-specific competencies and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description. Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents.

III. Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions:

On-the-job time is spent in the following physical activities:

Uses hands to finger, handle or feel - 2/3

Position will include travel to: Fitchburg, MA, Barre, MA, and Hanhnemann, MA

12 hours per week are dedicated to being on site at each location.

Every week there will be 4 flexible hours that you can work remote.
